EAP104 conversion to OpenWiFi TIP Firmware serial cable

Use special AP-CBL-SERU, JY728A 3.3V TTL serial cable
https://www.amazon.com/JY728A-Aruba-Micro-USB-Console-Adapter/dp/B071YNFZBG/

Ordering the cable is the easiest and simplest way but if you want to do it yourself (DYI), see cable pin out info below:

The EAP104 console port has a micro-USB interface. It’s a proprietary cable and not standard accessory. You will need a USB UART TTL to micro-usb console cable like below.

The pin definition is as below.

Refer to “Console Board pin connection” definition for the console cable.

Pin Name Color EAP104 pin connection Console Board Pin Connection
1 VCC Red 3.3V 3.3V
2 D- White UART_RXD0 3V_TX_1
3 D+ Green UART_TXD0 3V_RX_1
4 ID Yellow GND NA
5 GND Black GND GND

A handmade workaround is to combine a USB to UART TTL adapter plus a micro-B connector.
